ESD- and EMI-Safe Elastomers Expand Material Options for FGF and FFF Development

(Mesa, AZ) – Mechnano today announced the launch of three new elastomeric pellets designed for advanced additive manufacturing applications: TPC-95A ESD, TPU-95A ESD, and TPU-95A EMI. Engineered for flexibility, chemical resistance, and electrostatic or electromagnetic protection, these materials enable prototype and development workflows in both fused granular fabrication (FGF) and filament-based (FFF) processes.

Primarily intended for development workflows, the elastomeric pellets allow engineers to explore flexible component designs that take advantage of additive manufacturing’s geometric freedom. Potential applications include flexible housings, cable management components, gaskets, seals, and electrically sensitive parts where ESD or EMI performance is required.

“These elastomeric pellets illustrate the versatility of our dCNT platform,” said Dr. Olga “Dr. O” Ivanova, Director of Applications & Technology at Mechnano. “By enabling consistent CNT functionality across multiple material types and additive processes, they give engineers the flexibility to prototype functional components without being tied to a single hardware system.”

Mechnano’s proprietary dCNT platform detangles, separates, and functionalizes carbon nanotubes, dispersing them uniformly into various material matrices. This approach ensures consistent electrical and mechanical performance across material forms, avoiding agglomeration issues that can lead to uneven ESD or EMI behavior. The result is development materials that deliver predictable, repeatable properties, enabling engineers to prototype flexible, electrically sensitive components with confidence.
